New Delhi: Salman Khan – who recently made headlines for getting injured on the sets of his latest venture ‘Mental’ – is in news yet again but due to the name change of the movie.
One of Salman’s highly anticipated films, ‘Mental’ – which is the remake of South superstar Chiranjeevi`s ‘Stalin’ – is expected to hit theaters on January 24, 2014.
If rumours are anything to go by, the movie revolves around the hero who wants to make the world a better place for civilians.
‘Mental’ – which is being directed by Salman’s brother Sohail Khan – has fresh faces like ‘Bigg Boss’ fame Sana Khan and Daisy Shah. It also stars Tabu and Mukul Dev.
Earlier it had been revealed that Salman was unhappy with the title ‘Mental’ and had been searching for an alternative because he thought that the title is bizarre.
“Salman is not very keen to continue with a quirky title like Mental as the film is being addressed as presently. Sohail Khan who is directing the film has been looking at various options and the crew has been suggesting different names. Recently, Salman informed Sohail that he is not keen to continue with Mental and wants a different title now,” a source had said.
Adding on to this, the source had clarified that the film was never meant to be called ‘Mental’.
“It was never meant to be called ‘Mental’ and it was always a working title. Someone got the whiff of it and the media has ever since been reporting that. However Salman and Sohail were always clear that the film would be called something else,” the source added.
